Build me a small TypeScript app that acts as an MCP server for Jira over stdio, so I can connect it to Claude Code or VS Code and have an AI read and update Jira tickets for me.

I want it to support the basic Jira actions a team actually needs, like getting one issue, searching with JQL, creating tickets, updating fields, adding comments, reading comments, and moving an issue to another status. It should work with both Jira Cloud and self hosted Jira, and handle the auth setup cleanly with a config file or environment variable, since different teams will use it differently.

Please make it easy to install, easy to test from the command line, and include clear setup instructions for adding it to an MCP client. If anything about the current Jira auth or MCP docs has changed, look up the latest info online and use that.
