Build me a simple command line tool that helps me turn an app folder into installable packages for a few different systems, especially deb and rpm, and ideally also tar, FreeBSD, Mac package files, and pacman.
I want it to feel easy enough that I can point it at a directory, add a few dependencies and metadata, and get a package without having to learn each platform’s packaging rules. It should also be able to work with common source inputs like tar files, existing packages, gems, Python modules, npm packages, and plain directories. If possible, let me tweak package info, add or remove files, and strip maintainer scripts or other bits when needed.
Make the command line friendly and the docs clear, because the main goal is to save people from painful packaging workflows. If you need to check current packaging details online, go ahead and look them up.
