I want to build my own self-hosted bookmarking app, like a personal version of Pocket that I can run myself. I'm a bit of a data hoarder, so it should let me save everything: links, notes, images, and even PDFs.

When I save a link, it needs to automatically grab the title, a description, and a preview image. The most important feature is search—I want to be able to do a full-text search across the content of everything I've saved, including the text inside articles and even text from images using OCR.

Let's add some AI to it. It should automatically suggest tags for my bookmarks and generate quick summaries. It would be great if it could use OpenAI, but also support local models through Ollama. To make it easy to use, it needs browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox. Finally, it should save a full copy of webpages to prevent link rot and have an option to archive videos. For the tech, let's use Next.js for the web component.
