kde/plasma-desktop ? reverse-engineered prompt

I want to work on KDE Plasma Desktop and make a small but useful improvement to the desktop experience. Please inspect this repo, figure out the right place for the change, and implement it so it builds cleanly and can be tested locally.

I’m looking for a polished desktop facing feature, something in the area of widgets, settings pages, or the desktop shell itself, not a big redesign. Keep it consistent with Plasma’s look and feel, and make sure it plays nicely with the rest of the desktop components in this repository.

If anything is unclear, check the current docs or upstream KDE guidance online and then apply the best approach. Please also update or add whatever tests or sample data make sense, and tell me how to run or verify the result after the change.
