Build me a peer-to-peer file sharing web app, kind of like WeTransfer but without a central server. I want to go to the site, drop a file, and get a temporary link to send to a friend. When they open the link, the file should download directly from my browser to theirs. The transfer should be private and fast because there's no middleman.

The person sending the file should be able to see the transfer progress and cancel it. It should support sending multiple files at once, which the receiver gets as a single zip file. Let's also add an option for password protection for an extra layer of security.

For the tech, let's use a modern stack. A Next.js app with React and TypeScript seems right, styled with Tailwind CSS. The core of this will be WebRTC for the direct browser-to-browser connection, so you can use a library like PeerJS to make that part easier.
