Build me a simple interactive website that shows a map of the Roman Empire in the browser using the data and styling in this repo. I want it to feel like a polished historical map you can pan and zoom around, with place names and other map details visible at different zoom levels, not just a static image.

Please wire up the main page so it loads the map cleanly, uses the existing style and icons, and works as a self contained demo I can run locally or publish as a static site. Keep the look consistent with an ancient or historical theme, but do not overcomplicate it. If there are obvious gaps, use the project sources and the linked Roman Empire atlas as the reference for what this map is supposed to show.

Make sure the result is easy to open and test, and add any small fixes needed so the map actually renders without me having to figure things out. If you need to, look up current docs online and use whatever is simplest to get it working end to end.
