kovidgoyal/kitty ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build me a new terminal emulator called "kitty". The whole point is to make it for power users who live in the command line, so it has to be extremely fast and responsive. It should be GPU-based, using OpenGL for all rendering to make scrolling and handling lots of text super smooth.
It needs to be cross-platform, working on macOS, Linux, and Windows. It should also be packed with features like tabs, tiling window management (split panes), and excellent font rendering with support for ligatures. I'd also like it to be extensible with a system for small helper scripts or plugins. The core can be written in Python to make it easy to configure, but you should use faster languages like C or Go for the performance-critical parts.
