ldele/doc_assistant ? reverse-engineered prompt

Reverse engineered prompt

Build me a local first research assistant for my own documents, like PDFs, books, notes, EPUBs, HTML, DOCX, and Markdown.

I want to drop in a folder of files, import from Zotero if possible, and then ask questions in a chat that gives grounded answers with inline page level citations. I should be able to click a citation, open the exact page and passage it came from, and see the answer split into what the sources actually say versus what the model is inferring.

Please make it work fully locally if I want, with an option to use an online model too. It should index my library, support search over the documents, and keep a tidy history of my conversations that I can rename, search, export, or delete.

Also include a way to see the document library, metadata, figures, references, and some kind of concept or citation graph. If you can, add a simple evaluation view so I can check whether retrieval and answers are actually good.
