leocosta1/instagram-clone ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build me a responsive Instagram style home page that feels like the real app, but is clearly a study project. I want the main feed, stories row, profile area, sidebar style sections, and a mobile friendly layout that adapts nicely on smaller screens. Add a light and dark theme toggle, smooth scrolling for the stories, and the little gradient border look around stories and profile elements. It should also support posts with more than one media item, so a post can show a small gallery or carousel style content.

Please keep it clean, modern, and close to Instagram’s general look and feel without copying every detail exactly. Use semantic HTML, nice CSS layout, and a little JavaScript for the interactive parts like theme switching, story scrolling, and any simple UI behavior. If you need current browser details or best practices, look them up online.
