Build me a command line app that lets me search, browse, and watch anime from the terminal.

I want it to feel simple and fast, like I can type a show name, pick from a list, choose an episode, and start playing it right away in my media player. It should also support updating itself, showing helpful error messages, and working on Linux first, but if possible make it work on Mac, Android, and Windows too. I’d like the browsing to come from an anime site, and I want the app to be usable alone or with friends if that’s possible.
