Build me a small, fast JavaScript library for modern browsers that feels like jQuery to use, but keeps things as light as possible.
I want the core to handle basic DOM selection and chaining, event binding and unbinding, AJAX requests, form serialization, and a few handy utilities so people can drop it into a simple website and get to work right away. It should also support optional extras like animations, touch gestures, browser detection, data storage, and promise style deferreds, so I can include only what I need and keep the final bundle tiny.
Please make it easy to build a default distribution and also let me choose a custom set of modules for a smaller build. Include a minified output too, and make sure there are tests I can run locally. If you need to check current build or test setup details, look up the latest docs online first.
Are you gonna build this?
