I want to build a better kind of Python notebook for data science, something more modern and reliable than Jupyter. The main idea is that it should be reactive. If I change a variable or a UI slider in one cell, any other cell that uses that variable should automatically update. This should get rid of all the hidden state and bugs you get from running cells out of order.
The notebooks shouldn't be messy JSON files. They need to be saved as clean, pure Python scripts so I can easily use git to track changes. It should have built-in support for interactive UI elements and also let me write SQL queries directly in a cell to work with dataframes. Finally, it should be easy to take a finished notebook and deploy it as a standalone interactive web app that other people can use. Let's build it with a Python backend and a modern web frontend.
Are you gonna build this?
