Build me a working full stack app from this repo.

I want the frontend and backend wired together so the app actually runs end to end, with a simple clean interface and whatever basic data flow the project needs. Set up the server side, connect it to PostgreSQL, and make sure the app starts easily on a new machine. If anything is missing or outdated, fill in the gaps and make the setup instructions clear enough for someone who is not very technical.

Please also check the Windows setup notes and make sure the whole thing is consistent, including the startup script. Keep the code tidy, fix any broken parts you find, and make sure the app can be launched without a lot of manual steps. If you need to look up current docs online, feel free to do that.
