Build me a lightweight desktop video editor that feels simple like CapCut, but is free and open source.
I want a fast app that runs on normal laptops and lets me import clips, cut, trim, split, drag things around on a multi track timeline, add text and captions, tweak basic colors and effects, and work with audio like volume, fades, noise cleanup, and voice over. It should export to common video formats and handle common phone footage well, including portrait video and rotated clips, without making everything feel heavy or slow.
Please also add undo and crash recovery, keyboard shortcuts, a search box for finding clips and commands quickly, and a clean interface that feels easy for beginners. If possible, include the AI assistant connection so the app can be controlled through MCP for things like adding clips, titles, splitting, and exporting.
Use the current docs online if you need to check anything.
