Build me an ESPHome external component for GE appliances that talks over the GEA serial bus and shows up cleanly in Home Assistant.

I want to be able to connect an ESP32 to a GE dishwasher, washer, dryer, oven, or similar appliance, then read things like door state, cycle status, time remaining, temperatures, and error codes, and also send commands like start, stop, or change the selected cycle. It should support both newer GEA3 appliances and older GEA2 ones, with the right UART settings and wiring handled in the docs.

Please make it easy to configure from YAML with sensors, binary sensors, selects, switches, buttons, numbers, and text sensors, and include a way to discover ERDs from the bus so I can figure out what my appliance supports. If useful, add a few complete example device configs and basic troubleshooting notes. Keep it fully local, no cloud stuff.
