Build me a portable command line tool for working with config files, mostly YAML but also JSON, XML, CSV, TSV, TOML, HCL, INI, and properties files.
I want it to feel like jq for YAML, so I can read values with simple path expressions, update files in place, merge multiple files together, and convert between formats from the terminal. It should work well with normal shell usage, so reading from stdin, writing to stdout, and supporting environment variables would be really helpful.
Please make it easy to install as a single Go binary, and include clear examples and tests for the common things people would actually do, like editing nested fields, finding items in arrays, and converting a file from one format to another. If you need to check the latest docs for any edge cases, go ahead and look them up online.
