Build me a desktop app that lets me use ChatGPT Web inside Codex like it was a native model.

I want a simple launcher for macOS, Windows, and Linux that opens an embedded ChatGPT browser, lets me sign in there, checks that everything works, and then installs a set of custom models into Codex so I can pick them from the normal model menu. It should support the free account path with a basic model, and also show the higher tier options when the signed in account has them.

The app should keep the Codex task experience intact, including streaming responses, images, visible tool activity, and the current task context. If possible, add a fuller mode where ChatGPT can use the current task tools through MCP, with clear setup guidance and safe failure messages when something is missing or the UI changes. Make the setup feel friendly and guided, and use current docs online if you need to.
