Build me a local first app for managing my Kindle highlights. I want to import either a My Clippings.txt file from my Kindle or, if possible, use a browser based flow that logs into my Amazon notebook and pulls highlights automatically. Once the highlights are in, I should be able to browse by book and author, search everything, and see one resurfaced quote each day so I don’t forget older books.
I also want to add private reflections or notes to any highlight, with timestamps, and keep everything saved locally in a simple database. Give me a clean web app that runs on my machine and feels easy to use.
If I add a Google Gemini API key, make it optional and use it for finding related ideas across my highlights and suggesting new books based on what I actually read. Cache recommendations locally and keep a history of them. Also include simple stats like top authors and most highlighted books, plus export options for JSON, CSV, Obsidian markdown, and the raw database. Look up current docs online if you need to.
