Build me a clean, elegant news app that shows real time trending news in a really pleasant reading layout.

I want people to be able to open it and quickly see the hottest stories, with fast updates, a simple interface, and good typography so it feels calm instead of noisy. If they sign in with GitHub, their data should sync, and logged in users should be able to refresh news more freely. Please include sensible caching so the app does not keep hammering sources, and make the refresh timing adapt based on how often the source changes.
