I want to build a custom window manager for Linux, specifically for Wayland. The main idea is "scrollable tiling." Instead of windows resizing whenever I open a new one, they should just get added to an infinite horizontal strip that I can scroll through. Each window gets its own column, and they never automatically resize.

Each of my monitors should have its own separate window strip and its own set of dynamic workspaces, arranged vertically, kind of like how GNOME works. It should also have an "overview" mode that zooms out so I can see all my windows and workspaces at once.

Please add support for touchpad gestures, window tabbing, and configurable layouts with gaps and borders—maybe even with cool color gradients. Smooth animations are important. It should be written in Rust for performance and needs to handle multiple monitors, fractional scaling, and NVIDIA cards properly.
