Build me a simple public directory for Free and Open Source Android apps that helps people find privacy respecting alternatives to regular Android apps.
I want the main experience to be a clean readable list, grouped by categories like app stores, browsers, messaging, maps, notes, password apps, games, tools, rooting, and tutorials. Each app should show its name, project link, and small links for places like F Droid or IzzyOnDroid when available. Please don’t add store links unless you can verify them.
Make it work well as a GitHub project, with a big README as the main list, a simple HTML landing page, a table of contents, an Android themed icon, and a clear note about keeping Android open. Add a contribution guide so people know how to suggest new apps, and include a small Python check that makes sure categories and entries stay sorted. Keep everything lightweight, easy to maintain, and focused on freedom and privacy.
