Build me an open source desktop writing app for novelists and nonfiction writers. I want it to help someone plan a book from the first idea all the way to a finished draft.
It should let writers grow a premise into a summary, create characters, build worlds, plan plots, organize chapters and scenes, and switch between an outline view and index card style planning. Add a clean writing area with a distraction free mode, plus a story line view so the writer can see how the book fits together.
Please include practical editing tools like spell checking, markdown highlighting, word frequency analysis, autosave, and a simple plain text project format so people are not locked in. It should support templates or modes for fiction and nonfiction, and be able to import and export common formats like HTML, ePub, OpenDocument, and DocX.
Make it work as a cross platform Python desktop app with a polished interface. Look up current docs online if you need to.
