opencontainers/runc ? reverse-engineered prompt

Reverse engineered prompt

Build me a Linux command line tool that can spawn and run containers according to the OCI spec, similar to runc.

I want the core commands to work so I can create, start, run, exec into, list, pause, resume, kill, delete, and inspect container state from the terminal. It should support basic checkpoint and restore behavior too if that is available, and handle rootless operation where possible. Make it feel like a real production container runtime, with sensible error messages, clean help text, and version output.

Please keep it focused on Linux only, and use the existing project docs and tests to guide the implementation. If you need to check current library or spec details, look them up online. I’d like the result to build cleanly, include the main CLI entrypoint, and have enough test coverage that the basic container lifecycle works end to end.
