Build me a free, open source video editor like CapCut that can eventually work on web, desktop, and mobile from one shared codebase.

I want the focus to be a clean editing experience for creators, with a timeline, media preview, importing clips, arranging and trimming them, and exporting a finished video. Keep the design modern and simple, not cluttered.

Please structure it so it can grow into a plugin first editor later, with an editor API, support for automation or headless rendering, and a scripting area inside the editor. It should feel like the start of a serious rewrite, not just a toy demo.
