openfaas/faas ? reverse-engineered prompt

I want this repo turned into a working self hosted serverless platform that feels simple to use.

The main goal is that someone can deploy small functions or microservices to Kubernetes, hit them over HTTP, or trigger them from events, without a bunch of repetitive setup. It should include an easy web UI, sensible install steps, function templates for a few common languages, support for packaging code as container images, built in metrics, and autoscaling including scaling down to zero when nothing is happening. If there is already queue based async or background job support in the project, wire that up too.

Please make the local developer experience smooth, with clear quickstart docs, example functions, and a way to create, deploy, test, and monitor functions end to end. Keep it focused on the community edition features in this repo, not any paid enterprise only extras. If anything is unclear, check the current OpenFaaS docs online and make the implementation match the documented behavior as closely as possible.
