I want to revive this OpenFarm project into a working local web app for gardening knowledge.

Build me a free, open database where someone can search for a plant like tomatoes and find a clear growing guide that feels more like a recipe than an encyclopedia page. A guide should show practical growing details like seed spacing, planting depth, watering, soil, sunlight or shade needs, and companion plants. People should be able to browse plants, read guides, and contribute their own guide in a simple form.

Please use what is already in this repo instead of starting over. Get the Rails app running locally, fix anything broken from age where you reasonably can, seed it with a few example plants and guides, and make the main flow feel usable. Keep it simple and focused on helping gardeners answer, how do I grow this plant. Look up current docs online if you need to.
