I want to get this OpenSim project building cleanly from source on my machine and be able to run a simple example afterwards.

Please set it up so I can compile the core libraries, the command line tools, and the Python and Java bindings if they’re part of the build. If anything is missing or outdated, update the build and setup steps so they work on a typical Windows, macOS, or Linux dev machine. I’d also like a small working example I can run to confirm everything is installed correctly, something simple like loading a model and doing a basic movement simulation.
