openwall/john ? reverse-engineered prompt

Reverse engineered prompt

Build me an app called John the Ripper that can quickly test and crack password hashes to help find weak passwords. It should work offline and support a huge variety of hash types—like those used on Windows and macOS, popular Linux hashes, and even things like password-protected ZIP, RAR, or PDF files. I want to be able to give it a password file and have it try to recover as many passwords as it can, showing me the cracked results. Make it cross-platform so it runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and support using my computer’s CPU, and if possible, GPU for faster cracking. There should also be a way to pause and resume cracking jobs, and to see what passwords have already been cracked. Optionally, make it possible to use a separate graphical interface if someone prefers. Look up any necessary dependencies or latest usage info online if you get stuck.
