Build me a simple open source URL shortener that I can drop into a web server and run right away.

I want a basic site where someone can paste a long link, get back a short link, and use that short link to redirect to the original URL. Keep it simple and lightweight, with a main page for creating short links and the redirect working from the short code.

Please make it easy to install by just uploading the files to a server, then updating the database settings in one config file. I should be able to open the site in a browser and start using it without a lot of setup.

If you need to, look up current docs online for anything related to the database or PHP setup, but keep the result straightforward and easy to understand. I also want it to feel clean and ready for a small public website.
