I want a native Mac video editor that feels like a real timeline based app, something in the CapCut or Premiere lane, but built around working with AI. It should let me import and edit clips normally, then also generate videos or images right inside the timeline with modern models when that service is available. The core editor should still be fully usable for free without a login.

A big part of this is agent support. I want the app to expose a local MCP endpoint so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Claude Desktop can connect to the open project and help edit the same timeline with me. Also include an in app agent chat and simple setup flows so a normal person can get connected without digging around.

Please make it target macOS Tahoe on Apple Silicon, polish the desktop UI, and keep the editor and MCP pieces open source friendly. If the generative backend is separate or paid, that is fine, just wire it in cleanly. Look up current docs online if you need to.
