Reverse engineered prompt
Build me a Claude Code skill called writing style distiller that takes an author name, a piece of literary text, a short excerpt, or just a plain language style description, and turns it into a clean <writing_style> XML block I can copy and use right away.
I want it to feel research based and practical, not fluffy. It should automatically decide whether to do a quick, normal, or deeper pass based on how much input I give it, pause between stages for confirmation, and keep the final output concise and deduplicated. Please make it good at capturing things like emotional tone, language habits, narrative structure, dialogue style, scene behavior, and point of view, while also catching common fake sounding AI writing patterns and fixing them. It should include solid quality checks so the XML stays consistent, usable, and does not drift into plot details or messy labels.
Please set it up so I can use it as a Claude Code skill and also package a simple release zip. If you need to, check current Claude Code skill docs online.
