ruffle-rs/ruffle ? reverse-engineered prompt

I want to build a Flash Player emulator from scratch in Rust. The main purpose is to play old .swf files, like the classic games and animations from sites like Newgrounds, that don't work in modern browsers anymore.

This needs to be a cross-platform project. I want a standalone desktop app that runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux, where I can just open a file to play it. But I also need a web version that uses WebAssembly so it can run directly in a browser, and instructions on how to build the browser extension version too.

Please also include a couple of command-line utilities that I saw mentioned: one that can scan a whole folder of SWF files and report if they parse correctly, and another tool that can export frames from a SWF file as PNG images. Use Cargo for the build process, and organize the code so the core emulator logic is separate from the desktop and web frontends.

Are you gonna build this?
