Build me a desktop privacy firewall like Portmaster for Windows and Linux.

I want it to quietly watch all network activity on the computer, show which apps are connecting to the internet, and let me block or allow things globally or per app. It should have sensible privacy defaults so a normal person can install it and get protection right away, but also allow detailed rules for domains, IPs, countries, local network, internet, peer to peer, and inbound connections.

Please include secure DNS support with DoH or DoT, automatic blocking of common trackers, ads, malware domains, and a local network history view where I can search past connections and see bandwidth by app if possible. The UI should feel like a simple desktop app with an overview, app list, connection log, settings, and notifications when something important is blocked.

Keep everything local on the device as much as possible. Look up current docs online if you need to, especially for OS level firewall integration.
