Build me a terminal app like a smarter cat command.
I want to be able to open text files in the terminal with nice syntax highlighting, line numbers, and clear handling for things like JSON, Rust, Markdown, and config files. It should also show git changes in the file when the file is inside a repository, and make it easy to spot non printable characters when I need that. If the output is too long for one screen, it should page automatically, but still behave like normal cat when I pipe it into another command.
Make it feel polished and easy to use from the command line, with a few useful flags for plain output, choosing a language manually, and controlling paging. If there are standard tools or docs that would help you match common terminal behavior better, feel free to look them up online.
