Help me get FreeSWITCH built and running from source on my machine.

I want a working local setup that I can compile, start, and use for basic VoIP testing without having to dig through the whole codebase. Please make sure the build works cleanly on a common developer setup, and if there are any missing steps or outdated instructions, look up the current docs online and fill in the gaps.

After building, I want a simple default configuration that lets me start the server, see that it launches correctly, and try a basic SIP call or echo style test if that is available. If there are optional extras like sample sounds or web tools that make it easier to verify everything, include them too. If anything fails, fix the project files or instructions so the build and first run are as straightforward as possible.
