Build me a simple MERN to do app that feels beginner friendly but still polished.

I want a React frontend and a Node Express backend with MongoDB, where I can add tasks, see them in a list, mark them complete or reopen them, delete them, and filter by all, pending, or completed. Please include a dashboard with a clear progress summary so I can see how many tasks are done, plus a daily progress view that shows task totals by day.

Make it work with a JSON API between the frontend and backend, and keep the data saved in MongoDB so refreshing the page does not lose anything. I’d like the app split into a clean client and server setup, with each part easy to run locally.

Please include basic validation and friendly error messages if I enter bad data. Use local env files for the database connection, and if you need current setup details, look up the latest docs online.
