taosdata/TDengine ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build me TDengine from this repo so I can run it locally and try it out.

I want the project to compile cleanly from source, with the main server and basic tools working, then give me a simple way to start it and check that it’s alive. If anything needs extra setup, like build tools or system requirements, handle that for me and tell me what you changed. Please also make sure the basic tests pass if they are available, and fix any obvious build issues you run into.

If there are example commands or a quick demo for inserting and querying time series data, set that up too so I can see it working end to end. Look up current docs online if you need to, but keep the result focused on a smooth local build and run experience.
