I want you to build me a personal search engine that runs completely on my local machine. The idea is to have a command-line tool where I can index different folders of my documents—like markdown notes, work docs, and meeting transcripts. Everything should stay on-device for privacy.
The search itself needs to be really smart. It should offer a fast, basic keyword search, but also a more advanced "semantic" search for finding things based on meaning, like asking a natural language question. The main feature, though, should be a hybrid query mode that combines both search types and then uses a local LLM to re-rank the results and find the most relevant document chunks. It should be easy to use from the terminal, and I'd also like an option for it to output results as JSON so other AI agents could use it as a tool.
Are you gonna build this?
