Build me a VS Code extension that adds a little animated pet inside the editor to make coding feel more fun.

I want to be able to open the command palette, start a pet session, and see a cute pixel pet like a cat, dog, snake, duck, or Clippy appear in the window. It should feel playful, not distracting, and I’d like simple ways to add more pets, change the background theme, and throw a ball or similar toy for them to react to.

Please make it polished enough to feel like a real extension, with a nice default experience, a few built in pet options, and support for different languages if possible. If you need to check current VS Code extension docs or best practices online, go ahead.
