Build me a secure JavaScript runtime that feels like Node.js but is safe to run at the edge.

I want to be able to run normal JavaScript files, start a simple HTTP server, and use my usual workflow with commands like edge node myfile.js, edge npm install, and edge pnpm run dev. It should support a safe mode that uses sandboxing so risky code can still run without taking down the machine.

Please make it work with common package managers, and keep it compatible with standard Node style code as much as possible. If there are multiple engine options, set it up so it can run with a bundled engine by default, but also support other JavaScript engines if needed. Use the current docs online if you need to.

I’d also like a basic CLI, install instructions, and a few examples and tests so I can verify it works end to end.
