Build me a Raspberry Pi Zero USB gadget project that makes the Pi show up as a virtual Ethernet adapter and a serial console when plugged into a computer.

I want it to be easy to install with one script, set up the needed boot and network config files, and bring everything up automatically after reboot. It should work on Windows, macOS, and Linux as smoothly as possible, and if one setup does not work, I want a fallback that still gives me a serial console so I can troubleshoot over USB.
