I want to build a controller for my addressable LED strips, the kind that can run on an ESP32 or ESP8266 board. The main feature should be a web server that hosts a modern user interface, so I can control everything over WiFi from my phone or laptop.

The UI needs to let me pick colors and should come loaded with over 100 special effects and cool animations right out of the box. I also want to be able to save my favorite color and effect combinations as presets. A key feature is the ability to divide the LED strip into a few different "segments" and control each part with a different effect or color. It should also have a nightlight function that gradually dims the lights. Besides the web UI, please make sure it can be controlled by an API (like JSON or HTTP) and can integrate with things like Alexa, MQTT, or even sync with other identical controllers on the network.
