xroche/httrack ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build me an offline website copier that lets me download a whole site to my computer and browse it later as if I were still online.

It should follow links through the site, save pages, images, and other files into a local folder, and keep the original link structure so the mirrored site still feels normal in a browser. I also want it to be able to update an existing copy, and to resume if a download gets interrupted. Make it easy to use, with clear help text and sensible defaults, but still configurable for more advanced cases.

Please make sure it builds cleanly from source and works well on a normal Linux style setup. If anything about the build or expected behavior is unclear, look up the current docs online if you need to and then wire it up in a practical way.
